Our Story & Mission

Hey y’all, we’re Shanae & Quartarious Knight.
And our story isn’t perfect — it’s real.

We both grew up with single mothers, watching strong women hold everything together on their own. We didn’t grow up seeing perfect communication or peaceful love. We learned survival, independence, and strength… but not always softness.

So when we met at work, we walked in carrying childhood wounds, adult responsibilities, and real-life struggles. But somehow — through all of that — we saw love in each other. Not the fantasy kind… the kind you build.

We fell fast, but we also decided early on that our love was worth fighting for.
Not fighting against each other — fighting for something better.

Why We Started ShaeQuae

We started this brand because we wanted to break the patterns we grew up around.
We wanted emotional safety.
We wanted communication.
We wanted softness.
We wanted growth.
We wanted love that felt intentional, not accidental.

And most of all, we realized something powerful:
